It's not a Transformers story. Now, it USES Transformers and many Transformer names, from the obvious such as Optimus prime and Megatron, to the obscure like Red Alert, Bonecrusher and Sonar.

However, it doesn't HAVE to be a Transformers story. It could be about giant lizards, with the Minicons being smaller lizards... get my point?
